Thank you for joining us at this year's tournament!
When Hank, Marilyn, and Sean Hamann created the Todd Hamann Memorial Foundation in 2009, they were looking for a way to honor their son and brother, Todd, and, at the same time, give back to the community he loved so much.
Through that desire, the Todd Hamann Memorial Golf Tournament was born as a way to generate funds to give to several organizations they felt Todd would have wanted to support.
After eleven years of running their Foundation, the Hamanns were looking for a way to step back from day-to-day operations, but still support the organizations that were so important to their family.
In December of 2020, the Hamanns chose to dissolve the Todd Hamann Memorial Foundation and create the Todd Hamann Memorial Fund with the Warrensburg Schools Foundation.
Through this fund the Schools Foundation will continue to hold the annual Todd Hamann Memorial Golf Tournament to support the organizations that align with the Foundation’s mission, including
the ECHO (Early Childhood Hunger Operation) and the Tigers Den at Warrensburg Middle School.
The ECHO program provides weekend supplemental food for local preschool children who are food insecure. A nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization and Harvesters agency, ECHO serves 120 students weekly through eight area daycare agencies.
The Tigers Den, located at Warrensburg Middle School, is important to the Hamanns as it supports the children and students in our community that need extra help and encouragement.
T
he Den is a “closet” full of clothing, hygiene products and school supplies for Warrensburg students, teachers, faculty, staff,
social workers and community members in need.
Hank and Marilyn have been involved in the Warrensburg Community for many years.
Marilyn is a real estate agent with Reece Nichols and has served on many community boards and committees.
Hank was a science teacher and golf coach with the Warrensburg R-VI School District and retired in 2001 after 23 years in the district.
“We feel incredibly honored that Hank, Marilyn, and Sean chose the Warrensburg Schools Foundation to create the Todd Hamann Memorial Fund,” stated Marshall Abney, a former student of Hank’s and current Vice-President of the Warrensburg Schools Foundation.
“The Hamanns have worked tirelessly to support organizations that give to the children in our community and we are excited to work with them in continuing their efforts.
